Who We Are
Voices of the Global South, Actions for the World
UNA Global South is more than an initiative, it is a people-powered movement born out of urgency, vision, and lived experience. We exist to confront injustice, not just manage it. In a world increasingly fractured by war, the existence of nuclear weapons , bio weapon inequality, displacement, and climate crisis, we work to re-center the voices of the Global South in shaping sustainable futures — not as beneficiaries, but as architects of change.
As a legally recognized and independently governed branch of UNA-UK, we amplify the leadership, agency, and rights of communities across Africa, Latin America, Asia, and diaspora populations worldwide. We bring together refugee families, youth leaders, frontline women, and grassroots changemakers — united by the belief that development must be inclusive, decolonial, and led by those closest to its consequences.
Inspired by the legacy of bold leaders and grounded in the UN’s Agenda 2030, our mission is clear: to dismantle barriers, empower the marginalized, and mobilize for systems rooted in dignity, equality, and justice. We don’t wait for permission. We act, we advocate, and we build with urgency and purpose.
