UNA Global South is a UK-based charity recognized by the United Nations Association UK, working to close the gap between ordinary people and the decisions that shape their world.
Founded by people with deep roots in the Global South and long experience with the UN, the organisation brings together diaspora communities, young professionals, and passionate individuals to engage directly with UN structures, policies, and sustainable development initiatives.
Through events, campaigns, and grassroots networks, UNA Global South amplifies voices that are too often absent from global governance — and works to ensure that the communities most affected by inequality, climate change, and conflict have a real seat at the table.

UNA Global South is more than an initiative, it is a people-powered movement born out of urgency, vision, and lived experience. We exist to confront injustice, not just manage it. In a world increasingly fractured by war, the existence of nuclear and bio weapons, inequality, displacement, and climate crisis, we work to re-center the voices of the Global South in shaping sustainable futures — not as beneficiaries, but as architects of change.
As a legally recognized and independently governed branch of UNA-UK, we amplify the leadership, agency, and rights of communities across Africa, Latin America, Asia, and diaspora populations worldwide. We bring together refugee families, youth leaders, frontline women, and grassroots changemakers — united by the belief that development must be inclusive, decolonial, and led by those closest to its consequences.

Building Justice Across Intersections
At UNA Global South, we work across eight interconnected areas that reflect the urgent realities and long-term hopes of the Global South. These are not isolated issues — they are deeply intertwined struggles rooted in inequality, exclusion, displacement, and systemic injustice.
