Sudanese Diaspora Network

The need: Sudanese refugees and diaspora families in the UK have faced an extraordinarily difficult few years, including the trauma of war and genocide back home, and the search for meaningful accountability through international legal channels.

What UNA Global South did: We helped bring ICC lawyers to England to meet directly with members of the Sudanese diaspora, hosting events focused on legal accountability for the atrocities committed during the conflict. Our founder attended these meetings personally to support the community’s efforts to pursue justice.

The outcome: Real, direct engagement between affected communities and international legal expertise, work we approach with care given the seriousness and sensitivity involved. We remain selective about which initiatives we associate with in this space, prioritising integrity over scale.
