Afro Help For The Helpless

The need: A Bristol-based community group set out to support some of the most vulnerable members of the African diaspora locally, but lacked the resources and formal structure to grow its impact.

What UNA Global South did: We supported the group with practical contributions, including sending clothing to communities in Ethiopia, and have been helping guide it toward formal charity registration to give it a stronger, more sustainable footing.

The outcome: A grassroots, community-led group of around 30 members, now working toward formal charitable status with our support. It is a clear example of UNA Global South’s broader model: finding committed local groups already doing the work, and helping them grow into something lasting.
